I'm a physicist with a PhD degree and working as a Tenured Assistant Professor at the Chemistry and Physics Department of the Federal University of Espírito Santo (Ufes). My teaching activities range from elementary physics to more advanced undergraduate physics courses, such as electromagnetism and quantum mechanics. The scientific research I carry out focuses on the areas of astrophysics, cosmology and gravitation, with greater emphasis on the study of alternative theories of gravitation, post-Newtonian analysis and observational tests.
I'm also a member of the Cosmo-Ufes, a center for researchers focused in astrophysics, cosmology and gravitation that brings together many scientist from all three campi of Ufes. I'm also a member of the Editorial Board of the academic journal Cadernos de Astronomia, a biannual publication aimed at reviewing topics of research in astrophysics, cosmology and gravitation using a language suitable for undergraduate students and even at high school level. We hope to build a solid literature that can help Brazilian students to initiate their research activities. I'm located at the south part of the Espirito Santo state, working in a campus of the university at the city of Alegre (200 km from the main campus at the state capital, Vitória). Our campus offers 17 undergraduate courses and 11 graduate programs, and has a work team of around 250 professors and just over 3000 students. Positions and affiliations
